Siemens is my primary platform and preferred for upgrades and modernizations. Other platforms may be reviewed case-by-case, but most upgrades are recommended to migrate to Siemens for long-term support.

Yes. If the PLC is functioning properly and compatible, the operator interface can be modernized without replacing the PLC to reduce cost and downtime.

No. Safety-rated system design and validation are not provided unless explicitly stated in writing. Clients are responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA and applicable safety standards.

Yes. Clients are responsible for purchasing all PLCs, HMIs, I/O modules, drives, and control components. All pricing reflects labor only unless stated otherwise.

In most cases, yes. While some development can be done using simulation, full testing and commissioning require access to the actual hardware.

Small upgrades may take a few days, while larger retrofits may take several weeks depending on complexity, hardware availability, and machine access.

Yes. On-site commissioning is available and recommended to verify proper operation before returning equipment to production.

Helpful information includes machine type, existing PLC/HMI models, electrical schematics, I/O counts, and photos of the control panel and machine.

Once paid in full, the client owns all PLC and HMI programs. Backup copies may be retained by OneSource Tech, LLC for service and support purposes.
